Since we started playing online MTW note that 80% of plays were on the Grassly Plain and never the sides name an atacker neither defender,in the other maps not mentioned neither attacker nor defender, we think a defender evenly on that map have advantage so we allways hold a ultradefensive stance then we decide to make a special rule to make more funny this awesome game.
The objectives are :
Make all maps playable making balanced confrontations.
Keep the points for battle on a reasonable edge.
Make funny historic battles.
So we choose a map.
We choose sides f.e. Spain vs Moors, allways 2 sides regardless number of players. Often we pick sides that historically have fought in the past.
Always choose a specific period: early, high or late
One side pick the defender and offers points , normally from 8k-12k early, 9k-13k high, 10k-15k late per player. Then the host adjust this points plus the bonus for the map to the attacker side.
Then the game is played , and then, swaping sides another game is played. If a side won the 2 battles its a EPIC VICTORY with a superior strategy both atack and defense. If there are a TIE , the levels of victory of each victory determines a TACTICAL VICTORY , for equal levels there is a TIE.
We soon will post map bonuses for attacker. We think this bonuses are balanced but may be changed.
